MARK BARRY - SOUND ENGINEER
Biography:
Mark Barry has been involved in the production side of the
music industry for over ten years. In 1983 he was promoted to
manager of Arc Music and over the following six years
successfully raised their profile and reputation amongst the
Australian music scene.
Some of the acts that Mark has personally worked for over
these years included: Paul Kelly, I'm Talking,
Weddings-Parties-Anything, Painters & Dockers and
Not-Drowning-Waving.
Also while at Arc, Mark was responsible for the live audience
sound production for some of the A.B.C. Television Rockarena
shows and most of the 3LO Radio Sunday Night Live shows.
In 1987 Mark left Arc Sound to establish his own company B. S.
Sound Reinforcement. During the following years he has
supplied sound and lighting production to many Melbourne and
interstate bands, including: Broderick Smith, Stephen
Cummings, and the Melody Lords. Mark also provided production
and operated sound for a number of international acts,
notably: Jonathan Richman (America), Jane Siberry (Canada) and
Bob Mould / Huska Du (America).
Mark has also been responsible for the Audio requirements of:
The Push Organisation (Rage Without Alcohol shows and Music
Workshop educational programs)
The Prics; Vic. Health Dept. (Aids awareness program)
City of Brighton (Public Meetings)
Oakleigh City Council (Annual outdoor Pool-Party concert)
National Tennis Centre (conferences, meetings, Ford Australia
Open and 1992 Basket Ball season).
